I looked closely at the types of companies offering top-tier compensation, the industries they were in, and how these professionals positioned themselves over time. One of the most eye-opening findings? Every single one of these $200K earners had experience tied directly to revenue — things like retention, expansion, renewals, and executive-level stakeholder ownership. What I didn’t see were resumes centered around CSAT, NPS, or activity-based metrics without revenue attached.
